After my visit at theZurich University of the Arts I turned towards science doing my Master and PhD at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. Numerous years in the field of research and development in Nepal and Indonesia with close contact to rural communities taught me to combine intellectual knowledge with intelligent visualizations. Turning complex messages and systems into simple graphics became an important pillar in my professional life. Purpose of my illustrations is the communication of ideas that are difficult to convey with text or photos alone.

My main occupation is coordination an energy research program at the Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL. More

Motivation

A picture says more than 1000 words. Often, it is also more catchy, clearer and appealing than a text alone. A picture alerts and arouses interest, enhances attention, entertains and is easy to remember, long after the document has been shelved or archived.
